The courtyard has a grand entrance through the imposing stone arch and is set on two levels.  The top level is enclosed by the façade of the manor house with it’s classical proportions and stone columned porch and the quirky Folly with it’s Gothic arched entrance and mullioned windows.  The Cotswold chippings are punctuated with large Box onion topiary with the armillary sphere as a centre piece.

The stone steps flanked by ornate urns lead onto the lawn enclosed by a Yew hedge and with more Box mirroring the top terrace.  A second set of steps leads to a paved area where Lutyen’s benches scattered with floral cushions provide comfortable seating, with the cascading water from the fountain of the tiered koi ponds creating a restful soundtrack.
